User Experience Designer

Job Title: UX Designer (Contract)

Location: London, Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Remuneration: £55.77 Hourly Rate

Contract Length: 12 months

About the Role

As a Senior UX Designer, you'll play a key role in defining and delivering user experiences for cutting-edge conversational AI and shopping products. You'll work across multidisciplinary teams to create scalable, user-centred solutions, influence product strategy, and drive design excellence from concept through delivery. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in UX design, conversational interfaces, AI-powered products, and rapid prototyping.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead UX design initiatives for complex digital products and user journeys
• Design innovative experiences based on user research, business goals, and industry trends
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs in Figma
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and other stakeholders
• Drive design strategy and influence product direction through user-centred thinking
• Conduct and leverage UX research, testing, and data insights to improve experiences
• Champion usability, accessibility, and design best practices
• Develop and communicate design rationale to stakeholders across the organisation
• Contribute to design systems and scalable design frameworks
• Identify opportunities to improve user experiences across products and platforms
• Support cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality customer experiences

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in UX/Product Design for digital products
• Expertise in conversational UX and AI-driven experiences
• Strong proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools
• Experience designing for complex product ecosystems
• Solid understanding of UX research methodologies and user-centred design principles
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering and product teams
• Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate user insights and business requirements into exceptional experiences
• Understanding of accessibility standards and design systems

Desirable Experience

• Experience designing AI-powered or machine learning products
• Familiarity with utilising AI tools within design workflows and prototyping
• Experience working within large-scale technology environments
• Strong systems-thinking and strategic design capabilities
