About your new role!

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team at Stone Lion Veterinary Hospital in Wimbledon.

This is a great opportunity for a vet who enjoys working in a busy hospital environment, managing a varied caseload and working alongside a knowledgeable, supportive team. You’ll have access to excellent facilities, a wide range of clinical expertise and the opportunity to continue developing your skills while delivering outstanding care to our patients.

Working across four days per week, averaging 42.5 hours, you’ll be part of the hospital’s clinical rota, including a 1:4 Saturday and 1:8 Sunday commitment.

What are we looking for?

We’re keen to hear from Veterinary Surgeons who are confident in their clinical abilities and enjoy working collaboratively within a hospital setting.

You’ll ideally have

• Solid experience in small animal practice and confidence managing your own medical and surgical caseload. A bonus if you also have experience within a Hospital environment.
• Good clinical and communication skills, with a compassionate approach to patient and client care.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues across different areas of expertise.
• A proactive approach to learning, clinical development and maintaining high standards of care.

We’re particularly interested in vets who are ready to build on their experience within a hospital environment and make the most of the facilities and clinical knowledge available at Stone Lion.

Nestled in the heart of Wimbledon Village, around a 10-minute walk from Wimbledon Junction station, giving you easy access to the District Line and the rest of London, our 24-hour hospital is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to join Stone Lion, and Veterinary Surgeon roles here don't come up often.
