We are looking for an Officer with experience in financial administration to help improve the delivery of our Appointee – Deputyship team within Adult Social Care Finance. Based at Town Hall, Leicester with possible opportunity for hybrid working. This is a full-time, permanent and fixed term 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. What you'll be doing Working within a small and friendly team to help support the service delivery of appointee – deputyship clients. This is a money management job. As an Officer in the Appointee ship & Deputyship team you will be supporting some of our clients who do not have the mental capacity to manage their own finances. You will be working with minimal supervision, managing a case load where you will be responsible for the financial affairs for our clients. This will involve acting as a Corporate Appointee for our clients overseeing personally; sensitive internal and external enquiries. Monitoring and reconciling peoples virtual accounts to ensure that all benefit entitlement is received, people receive their weekly personal allowances, and all priority debts are paid. In addition to the above, you will liaise with external companies such as utility providers, on behalf of our clients, and create accurate financial reports which are submitted to the Office of the Public Guardian. What you'll need With excellent interpersonal and organisation skills being able to communicate sometimes sensitive information to your teams and other colleagues. You'll be able to work without direct supervision as well as part of a team. Managing your own time effectively to ensure tasks are accurately completed and deadlines are met, acting with high levels of trust and personal accountability. With proven experience of the ability to be creative and problem solve. As well as, knowledge and understanding of the Welfare Benefits system and Finance. You'll show us your understanding of the importance of confidentiality, data security and management.
