Workforce Planner (18 Month FTC)
How you'll help us live our purpose
We've been helping our members save for their future and buy their own home since 1875. Join us and you'll play a big role in helping us to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.
It's a purpose that drives everything we do. And you can play your part too – join our People Enablement team as a Workforce Planner and you'll provide workforce evidence that helps us anticipate future capacity and skills needs and make practical workforce decisions.
How you'll make a difference
In a brand-new team, you'll be joining at the start of an exciting journey as we build a new, consistent, evidence-led approach to workforce and skills planning across the Society.
Working across People, Finance and business teams, you'll produce reliable workforce and skills forecasts, analyse current and future demand and identify capacity, capability and critical-role gaps.
You'll co-ordinate planning inputs, maintain workforce data and turn analysis into clear dashboards, reports and practical insight. You'll challenge incomplete or inconsistent information, explain assumptions and limitations, and help stakeholders identify appropriate build, buy, borrow, redeploy or automate actions.
What will you bring to the role?
- Data Literacy – advanced ability to collect and interpret workforce, skills, financial and operational data, with the ability to explain findings clearly
- Digital Literacy – advanced use of approved digital tools to produce reliable workforce outputs, improve recurring processes and identify automation opportunities
- Teamwork – advanced collaboration across People, Finance and business teams to coordinate inputs, resolve data issues and deliver workforce-planning outputs
- Adaptability – able to adjust forecasts, analysis and reporting as assumptions, data, deadlines and stakeholder needs change
- Creative Thinking – able to improve data collection, forecasting, scenarios and reporting within agreed methods
- Customer Centricity – able to connect workforce capacity, capability and skills evidence to sustainable member, customer and colleague outcomes
- Empathy – able to handle sensitive workforce evidence objectively and adapt communication to different stakeholder perspectives
- Relationship Management – able to build trusted relationships with business, People, Finance and data owners to secure inputs and validate findings
And in return, you'll get the best from us
- Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office
- Annual bonus of up to 12%
- Matched pension contributions up to 10%
- 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays and holiday purchase scheme
- Colleague Mortgage and Saver products
