The Role
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their career in accountancy, whether you already have experience working in an accounts role or are currently working towards a relevant qualification.
You will play an important part in supporting the weekly accounts process, working to strict deadlines and ensuring that invoices, purchase orders and supporting documentation are accurate and correctly authorised. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, providing support where needed and helping maintain efficient financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and completion of weekly accounts, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Process and manage invoices, checking information for accuracy and resolving any discrepancies.
- Assist colleagues across the business with finance-related queries and administrative tasks.
- Obtain the necessary approvals and sign-off for purchase orders (POs), ensuring all supporting documentation is correct and complete.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure relevant paperwork is processed in line with company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to support the smooth running of day-to-day accounting activities.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in an accounts or finance administration role, or be actively working towards a career in accountancy.
- AAT qualifications, or be studying towards an AAT qualification, would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy when handling invoices and financial documentation.
- A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn and the motivation to develop your skills further.
