About This Opportunity

We are looking to recruit an experienced, confident, and enthusiastic Social Worker to join the Advanced Practice Leads Team. This post is for an initial 12 month period. The post will be based in either Carlisle or Workington.

You will work as part of a small team of Social Workers and Occupational Therapists under the supervision of the Professional Practice Lead for Social Work. The team works under the direction of the Principal Social Worker and in close collaboration with the Principal Occupational Therapist. We play a central role in supporting Adult Social Care to deliver its Achieving Excellence Plan and maintain readiness for CQC assurance.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker with the knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm to help develop and maintain high standards of practice across Adult Social Care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, promote a positive culture within the organisation, and be passionate about improving practice and outcomes for adults and carers.

The role includes a range of practice development activities, such as contributing to service development projects, developing best practice guidance and facilitating learning events. The post also has a key role in quality assurance and governance activities, helping to evidence good practice, drive continuous improvement, and demonstrate impact.
