We are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of a major nuclear infrastructure programme at Sellafield. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading commercial role within a high-profile project delivered through the Pagabo framework, contributing to the successful delivery of critical national infrastructure.
Working within a collaborative client-integrated team, you will provide commercial leadership across a significant project portfolio, ensuring robust contract management, commercial governance, and financial control within an NEC Option E environment. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will also lead and develop a small commercial team, helping to drive project success while protecting the business's commercial position.

Role Responsibilities
- Take full commercial ownership of a significant-value nuclear infrastructure project from delivery through to completion.
- Lead all aspects of commercial and contract management under NEC3/NEC4 contracts, with a particular focus on NEC Option E.
- Provide senior commercial leadership and oversight to project teams, ensuring effective commercial processes and controls are maintained.
- Manage and mentor commercial team members, including direct line management responsibilities.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts, budgets, and financial reports.
- Oversee compensation event and early warning processes, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and resolution of commercial issues.
- Support programme and project teams in assessing change, risk, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain effective stakeholder relationships across the client, project delivery teams, and supply chain partners.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, governance requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to achieving successful project outcomes while safeguarding Morgan Sindall Infrastructure's commercial interests and contractual entitlements.
- Utilise CEMAR and other contract management systems to effectively administer contract processes and documentation.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience leading commercial activities on significant-value infrastructure or construction projects within a main contractor environment.
- Extensive knowledge and practical application of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
- Strong experience managing compensation events, early warnings, and change management processes.
- Demonstrable experience producing and presenting detailed CVR reporting, forecasting, and financial performance reviews.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage commercial teams.
- Strong understanding of project programmes and the commercial implications of change.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within integrated client and delivery teams.
- Experience working within structured, process-driven project environments.
- Commercially astute with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for projects while protecting business interests.
- Experience working on nuclear, highly regulated, or major infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience delivering projects within the Sellafield environment.
- Proficiency in CEMAR or similar contract management software.
- Professional membership or working towards membership with RICS, ICES, CIOB, or equivalent.
