Audit Graduate Programme 2027
About us
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UNW is an independent chartered accountancy and advisory firm focused on delivering expertise that genuinely adds value.
We work with a wide mix of clients – from individuals and ambitious privately owned businesses to PE-backed companies, fast-growing regional groups, charities, international subsidiaries and listed companies. Whatever their size or structure, we are committed to delivering the very best service and building lasting relationships.
With 20 partners and a team of more than 200 people, UNW has built a strong reputation grounded in the quality of our people and the strength of our client relationships.
Role Description
Our three-year graduate programme is designed to give you the strongest possiblestart. You’ll join a close-knit team, work with some of the North East’s most successful businesses and receive full support as you study towards your ACA qualification. With paid study leave, dedicated mentoring, and regular on-the-job coaching, you’ll gain both technical knowledge and practical confidence – all within an environment that’s supportive, challenging, and rewarding.
By the end of the programme, you’ll have achieved the ACA – an internationally recognised chartered accountancy qualification – and developed strong technical expertise, professional confidence, leadership skills, and a broad understanding of how businesses operate. Whether you stay in audit, move into another area of finance, or explore something new, you’ll be ready to take the next step in your career.
What makes UNW a great place to work?
When we ask our team members what makes UNW a great place to work, time and time again they say it’s the people that they work with.
Supportive, friendly, progressive, flexible, inclusive, welcoming, approachable, ambitious, caring and fun are just some of the words they use to describe UNW’s culture.
And it’s that unique culture, built on hard work and a commitment to providing the very best service to our clients that sets us apart from others and attracts some of the brightest and most experienced talent to UNW.
We are committed to creating a thriving environment in which everyone feels valued and proud of their work. No gimmicks, just strong support and genuine opportunities to develop.
Applications close on Friday 30 October 2026, with our assessment centre currently scheduled for Tuesday 17 November 2026 for candidates who successfully progress through the earlier stages of the recruitment process.
