BMC Server Automation Operations Technologist

We are looking for an experienced BMC Server Automation Operations Technologist to support and enhance enterprise-scale server automation platforms in a complex production environment.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 operational support for BMC TrueSight / BladeLogic Server Automation (TSSA).
• Manage Windows and UNIX patch catalogue creation, patch analysis, deployment and compliance.
• Build and maintain BladeLogic packages, component templates, snapshot jobs, discovery jobs and compliance jobs.
• Create and manage NSH scripts, PowerShell scripts, file deployment jobs and automation content.
• Administer extended objects, smart groups, RBAC policies, ACLs, permissions and profiles.
• Monitor platform health, availability, scalability and agent status.
• Develop Smart Reporting, TSSR, TSSW_DW and Live Reporting dashboards for patching, job execution and infrastructure health.
• Support Windows Server, RHEL, AIX, Solaris, Oracle databases and VMware environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and vendors to resolve technical issues and improve production stability.

🔹 Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of Windows and UNIX systems administration in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with BMC TrueSight / BladeLogic Server Automation.
• Expertise in server patching, deployments, compliance, snapshots, discovery jobs and component templates.
• Experience with NSH, PowerShell and UNIX shell scripting.
• Knowledge of RBAC, TSSA administration, reporting and infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of VMware, Active Directory and Oracle databases.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

🔹 Desirable

• Experience supporting estates of 20,000+ servers.
• Financial services or investment banking experience.
• Degree in a technical or information sciences discipline.
• Interest in AI-enabled capabilities for future TSSA releases.
