Finance Manager

Job Title: Finance Manager, Compliance & Systems (6-Month Contract) Location: Leavesden, Hertfordshire (Hybrid) Contract: Fixed-Term Contract: 6 Months (Potential Extension)

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager, Compliance & Systems to join a global finance team supporting international operations across EMEA, APAC, and North America. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with strong systems expertise to drive compliance, process improvement, and finance transformation initiatives in a fast-paced global environment.

About the Role

As a key member of the finance function, you will act as the finance subject matter expert for retail technology and systems initiatives, working closely with finance, technology, and operational stakeholders worldwide. You will support the delivery, testing, optimisation, and governance of financial systems while ensuring strong compliance, reporting accuracy, and robust financial controls.

This role requires flexibility to collaborate across multiple global time zones including the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Systems & Business Support

• Act as the Finance SME for Microsoft Dynamics 365 retail and finance initiatives.
• Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system stress testing across global regions.
• Partner with Technology and Operations teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of finance and retail systems.
• Troubleshoot system and interface issues between operational systems and SAP.
• Provide training and support to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify risks and improvement opportunities.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Support internal and external audit activities, including preparation of evidence and documentation.
• Ensure adherence to financial controls, governance policies, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with risk identification, mitigation, and remediation activities.
• Collaborate with international finance teams to drive consistency and best practice.
• Provide support and cover for finance compliance activities when required.

Process Improvement & Transformation

• Review existing finance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and controls.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and streamline workflows.
• Support finance transformation projects and system enhancement programmes.
• Partner with stakeholders to implement sustainable operational improvements.

Data Integrity & Reporting

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial data across multiple systems.
• Monitor interfaces and reconciliations between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP.
• Support reporting processes by maintaining strong data governance standards.
• Deliver insights and recommendations to improve data quality and operational performance.

About You

Essential Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or Qualified by Experience.
• Strong experience delivering global system implementations, rollouts, or integrations.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP.
• Experience working within complex multinational or matrix organisations.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and regions.

Desirable Experience

• Retail, FMCG, consumer products, or multi-site business experience.
• Experience supporting audits and financial compliance programmes.
• Background in finance transformation, automation, or process optimisation initiatives.
