Front of House Service Manager

We are currently looking to recruit a Front of House Service Manager to join our multi-franchise aftersales team at our Honda, OMODA & JAECOO and Changan dealership in Solihull.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm, plus 1 Saturday a month 8:30am–1pm.

Salary: Competitive basic salary, plus company car and an OTE of £42,000

Role and Responsibilities

Working closely with the Aftersales Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the front-of-house service operation, supporting our team across all three franchises at one site. You will help ensure the department runs smoothly, the team delivers an outstanding customer experience and departmental targets are achieved.

• Supporting the Aftersales Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the Service Department across all three franchises.
• Leading and supporting the front-of-house team to deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
• Greeting customers, managing vehicle bookings and ensuring a professional and welcoming customer experience.
• Keeping customers informed throughout the service process, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Coordinating work with the workshop team, ensuring an efficient workflow and effective use of available resources.
• Overseeing repair authorisations and ensuring all work is clearly communicated and approved by customers.
• Supporting the achievement of departmental targets through effective planning, upselling and promoting our range of aftersales products and services.
• Monitoring customer satisfaction and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensuring manufacturer standards, policies and procedures are followed across Honda, OMODA & JAECOO and Changan.
• Supporting the development and performance of colleagues, helping to maintain a positive, collaborative and customer-focused working environment.

About You

You will ideally have experience in a Service Advisor, Senior Service Advisor or Workshop Controller role within the motor trade, with a strong understanding of service department operations and the importance of delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will be confident communicating with customers and colleagues at all levels, highly organised and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

We are looking for someone who leads by example, takes a proactive and hands-on approach, and has the ambition to develop their career into management. Previous management experience would be beneficial, but the right attitude, customer focus and ability to support a team are equally important.
