As part of a major deepwater offshore Oil & Gas development project in Namibia, we are looking for an experienced GIS / Geoinformation Engineer to support the project execution activities.
The project involves the development of a large-scale FPSO, subsea infrastructure, offshore pipelines and associated facilities in an ultra-deepwater environment.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, consolidate and maintain project geographical information and GIS databases.
- Collect, integrate and analyse spatial data from different engineering disciplines and project contractors.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases and geographical information systems.
- Produce and update offshore maps, layouts and geographical representations.
- Integrate and manage geographical data related to FPSO positioning, mooring systems, subsea infrastructure, pipelines, flowlines and umbilicals.
- Support the integration of bathymetric, geophysical and survey data.
- Ensure the quality, consistency and accuracy of geographical datasets.
- Coordinate with Engineering, SURF, SPS, FPSO, Installation and Field Operations teams.
- Review GIS deliverables submitted by contractors and suppliers.
- Support the preparation of final GIS databases, As-Built documentation and project handover.
YOUR PROFILE
- Master's degree in Geomatics, GIS, Geography, Geospatial Engineering or equivalent.
- Solid professional experience in GIS and geospatial data management.
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas, offshore or major infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Good command of GIS software (ArcGIS and/or QGIS).
- Knowledge of geographical databases, coordinate reference systems and spatial data analysis.
- Familiarity with offshore infrastructure, subsea systems and engineering data.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Fluent English.
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural project environment.
