Junior Hardware Verification Engineer

• Location: Cambridge (Hybrid)
• Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits

This role is ideal for someone with a low-level embedded software background who is looking to move into hardware engineering and build a career in hardware verification.

The Role

Working alongside experienced hardware engineers, you will support the verification and testing of advanced processor designs, developing your skills in hardware architecture, testing and debugging.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the verification and testing of hardware and processor designs.
• Develop and execute test cases to validate hardware functionality.
• Write Python scripts and C applications to support verification activities.
• Work with hardware engineers to debug issues and investigate failures.
• Carry out low-level testing, understanding how software interacts with hardware.
• Contribute to automated testing and verification processes.

Requirements

• Background in low-level embedded software or hardware engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C.
• Understanding of how software interacts with hardware.
• Exposure to microcontrollers, processors or embedded systems.
• Experience with low-level debugging and testing.
• A genuine interest in developing a career in hardware verification.
