About The Role
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our London-based legal team. You will work across fund matters, venture capital transactions and regulatory issues, advising the investment, finance and operations teams directly.
This is a hands-on role with broad responsibilities, international exposure and the opportunity to work with our engineering team on AI-powered legal automation.
What You Will Do
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation and manage LP onboarding.
- Support venture capital transactions, including primary investments, secondaries and convertibles.
- Coordinate legal due diligence and advise on transaction structuring.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters across the firm's funds and operations.
- Manage relationships with external counsel, fund administrators and other service providers.
- Work with engineering to develop and improve AI-powered legal workflows.
What We Are Looking For
- 3–4 years of post-qualification experience, qualified in England and Wales or another jurisdiction.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: venture capital transactions, investment funds or financial services regulation.
- Familiarity with investment manager regulation and compliance; experience involving UK, US or offshore structures is an advantage.
- Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical, commercially minded approach.
- Ability to manage matters independently and work effectively across teams and jurisdictions.
- Interest in using AI to improve legal work; previous experience is a plus.
You may come from private practice or an in-house legal team. Experience across all three practice areas is not required, but you should be comfortable expanding beyond your current specialism.
