Materials Planner

📍 London, UK

Ensuring the correct materials and packaging are available at the right time to support global production across our luxury fragrance brands.

Nichebox is looking for an experienced Materials Planner to join our Supply Chain & Operations team in London, supporting the global supply of components and packaging for our luxury fragrance brands, Clive Christian and Liquides Imaginaires.

As our business continues to grow, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where planning accuracy, supplier relationships and problem-solving are key.

Working closely with our Supply Planning Manager, suppliers, contract manufacturers and internal teams, you'll take ownership of materials planning and supplier scheduling, ensuring components and packaging are available when needed to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage materials planning and MRP processes, translating finished goods supply plans into component and packaging requirements
  • Maintain accurate material master data, planning parameters and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Raise and manage purchase orders and delivery schedules with component and packaging suppliers
  • Track inbound deliveries, chase order confirmations and proactively expedite materials where production timelines are at risk
  • Monitor material availability and stock coverage, identifying potential shortages and escalating risks early
  • Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier lead times and on-time delivery performance
  • Coordinate component transfers and consignment stock across suppliers, warehouses and contract manufacturing locations
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, consumption variances and component quality issues, working with relevant teams to resolve them
  • Manage component phase-ins and phase-outs for product launches, artwork changes and discontinuations, minimising obsolete packaging
  • Monitor slow-moving and obsolete stock, recommending appropriate actions to minimise waste
  • Report on material availability, supplier performance and stock metrics to support effective planning and decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to improve master data accuracy, planning parameters and MRP processes

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years' experience in materials planning, MRP or component purchasing, ideally within luxury, beauty or a related industry
  • Hands-on ERP experience essential; SAP is strongly preferred
  • Experience working with external suppliers, contract manufacturers and packaging suppliers
  • A sound understanding of bills of materials, supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, lot sizing and safety stock
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables; Power Query and Power BI would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy
  • Fluent English is essential; Italian would be an advantage

What we offer

  • The opportunity to work with internationally recognised luxury fragrance brands
  • Global exposure across materials planning, purchasing and supply chain operations
  • Close collaboration with suppliers, contract manufacturers and teams across the business
  • A dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where initiative, problem-solving and continuous improvement are valued
  • The opportunity to play a key role in ensuring material availability, supporting production continuity and contributing to the growth of our business

At Nichebox, we value teamwork, relationships, entrepreneurial thinking, and respect.

We know that the perfect background for a role doesn't always mean the perfect fit. If this opportunity feels right for you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every qualification listed.
