Programme Manager, Engineering X

Licensed sponsor London Full-time Posted 1 week ago

We're looking for a Programme Manager to help deliver Engineering Safer Futures (ESF), a new £3million programme under Engineering X, one of the Academy's flagship products. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of international development, engineering, research, policy and safety.

You'll play a key role in delivering the next Global Engineering Capability Review (GECR), a landmark international report that takes a systems approach to explore how engineering skills, institutions, policies and investment translate into safer, higher-quality engineering outcomes. Working with partners, researchers and technical experts across multiple countries, you'll coordinate research activities, organise international workshops and roundtables, oversee grant-making, support communications and stakeholder engagement, and help build communities of practice that turn evidence into action.

The role offers significant variety, from coordinating input from international research teams to convening senior stakeholders from across the system, to shaping new activities from emerging project findings. Success will depend on your ability to deliver high-quality work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, build trusted relationships across sectors and cultures, and work collaboratively to deliver the GECR and help establish it as a leading global reference point for engineering capability and safety.

Engineering X is a growing collaboration, founded by the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Lloyd’s Register Foundation (LRF), that brings together some of the world’s leading problem-solvers to address the greatest safety and sustainability challenges of our time.

Please note this is a fixed term role ending at end September 2029.
