What you would do as our Purchase Ledger Clerk
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, while assisting the wider finance function and maintaining strong financial controls.
You would also be responsable for
- Processing supplier invoices and payments accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with agreed payment terms and company procedures.
- Maintaining strong purchase ledger controls, including matching purchase orders to invoices, verifying approvals, and ensuring correct coding of transactions.
- Supporting month-end activities by assisting with financial reporting, reconciliations, and the preparation of required finance information.
- Building positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, resolving invoice and payment queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assisting with audit preparation and ensuring finance records are maintained accurately in line with company and Group requirements.
The Skills And Experience You Need
We are looking for someone who
- Has previous experience in a Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, or similar finance administration role.
- Has a strong attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
- Has Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Has experience working with ERP or finance systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous but is not essential.
