On Device Solutions is an SAP Gold Partner and a specialist IT products and services company focused on frontline-worker technologies. We design and deliver innovative SAP solutions across enterprise integration, mobile, wearable and connected-worker platforms, helping organisations improve productivity, safety and operational efficiency. To support our continued growth, we are looking for an SAP Integration Architect to join our ambitious and innovative SAP-focused company.

Role Overview

You will lead the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP landscapes. Working with customers and distributed delivery teams, you will translate business and technical requirements into integration strategies, define solution architectures and standards, guide implementation decisions, and support projects from discovery through deployment and ongoing improvement.

Experience (Must Have)

  • At least five years of SAP integration consulting and architecture experience, including delivery across multiple full-cycle implementations.
  • Strong experience designing enterprise integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration, API Management and related SAP BTP services.
  • Proven ability to define integration strategy, target architecture, standards, governance and reusable patterns across cloud, on-premises and hybrid landscapes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of integration protocols and technologies, including REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, SFTP, events and messaging.
  • Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP with SAP cloud applications, external systems and partner platforms.
  • Strong understanding of API-led integration, synchronous and asynchronous patterns, canonical data models, orchestration, error handling and monitoring.
  • Deep understanding of integration security, including authentication, authorisation, certificates, OAuth 2.0, SAML and secure connectivity.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector and connectivity between SAP BTP and on-premises systems.
  • Experience producing architecture diagrams, interface catalogues, integration specifications and operational support documentation.
  • Ability to assess non-functional requirements covering performance, scalability, resilience, observability, data privacy and supportability.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving skills across complex, distributed integration landscapes.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to lead technical workshops, design reviews and delivery governance with customers and implementation teams.

Additional Skills (Nice to have)

  • Experience integrating non-SAP business applications such as Coupa, Salesforce and Zoho with SAP solutions.
  • Experience with non-SAP integration platforms, particularly SnapLogic, and the ability to assess when to use SAP or third-party integration capabilities.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, enterprise messaging and technologies such as Kafka or other message brokers.
  • Experience with data integration, master-data concepts and integration involving data platforms, analytics or reporting services.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices for integration content, APIs and configuration.
  • Experience delivering integration solutions within the utilities sector.
  • Industry knowledge in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, facilities management or other asset-intensive sectors.

Person Specification

  • Highly ambitious with willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing environment that values initiative, adaptability, collaboration and personal ownership.
  • Able to travel and stay away from home for 20-60% of the time (for client assignments).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders, with a collaborative approach and an agile mindset.

What We Offer

  • A stimulating, collaborative environment within a growing SAP products and services company specialising in frontline-worker technologies.
  • Opportunity to work with modern SAP BTP, API, event-driven and cloud integration technologies.
  • Opportunity to help shape and build a focused portfolio of reusable integration packages for the most commonly used non-SAP solutions.
  • Competitive salary and generous bonus package.
  • Statutory pension, life insurance and company mobile phone.
