As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Managing a portfolio of clients, providing proactive advice and maintaining strong client relationships
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
- Reviewing and submitting VAT returns.
- Liaising effectively with clients, HMRC and colleagues to resolve queries and provide technical support.
- Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members
- Supporting managers and partners with client and office related matters.
To be successful in this role, you'll have
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience)
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and UK accounting standards
- Experience managing client relationships and handling a varied portfolio
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
