Senior Associate

Our team work on projects worth +£100m including leading life sciences, defence, health, higher education and residential sectors.

What you need to do to be effective in this role

• Mentor QS cost management colleagues to develop their skills.
• Collaborate with Winchester and Ridge leadership teams.
• Manage clients and pursue new business opportunities.
• Participate in business development forums and sector groups.
• Coordinate cost management across all offices.
• Work independently on assigned tasks.
• Advise on contracts and construction conditions, both NEC and JCT standard forms.
• Guide design teams on cost-effective methods and materials to stay within budget.
• Prepare tender documents.
• Oversee project costs during construction and negotiate final accounts.
• Lead client meetings and ensure successful project delivery.
• Expand business through new and repeat projects.
• Manage projects from inception to completion and use.

Skills and experience you need to have for this role    

• Experience leading multiple projects and managing client relationships, including business development
• Excellent communication and commercial awareness
• Relevant project experience, with a good mix of NEC and JCT experience. Previous security clearance would be helpful.
• RICS-accredited degree or equivalent
• MRICS Chartered status
• Background in commercially focused roles
• Enthusiastic and ambitious
• Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel) and industry-standard software
• Cost X experience preferred
• Track record of developing and mentoring people
