Strategy Manager
At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
Your impact
We’re looking for a Strategy Manager to join our Strategy team and work with corporate and business unit leaders on high-priority initiatives.
This newly created role offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic work at executive and board level, while helping translate priorities into practical outcomes across the business. You’ll bring a consulting mindset, take initiative and work as a thought partner to colleagues and stakeholders - helping them succeed through clear analysis, constructive challenge and strong collaboration.
You’ll bring a strong understanding of how consulting engineering and technical businesses operate, and work closely with teams to connect strategic initiatives with day-to-day delivery. The role will suit someone who combines analytical thinking with practical business experience and can build trusted relationships with stakeholders across Jacobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research markets, competitors and business trends to inform strategic decisions
- Build financial and analytical models to assess opportunities and support investment requests
- Develop clear, evidence-based presentations and recommendations for senior leaders
- Contribute to strategy refresh activities and projects for executive and board audiences
- Support special projects from initial analysis through to implementation
- Connect corporate strategy to day-to-day work, helping teams focus on the right priorities at the right time
- Support change management, employee engagement, training and the realization of project benefits
Here's what you'll need
- Experience in consulting, ideally in strategy, finance transformation or finance performance improvement. Experience in engineering or a related business environment is also valuable
- Experience working on consulting engagements and directly with clients
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to structure complex questions and develop practical recommendations
- Confidence working with research, data and financial or analytical models
- The ability to contribute as a strategic thought partner, shaping ideas and recommendations rather than focusing only on presentations and supporting materials
- Adaptability to work across sectors and varied business environments, with the drive to move work forward.
