Tax Manager, Group Tax Reporting

Licensed sponsor London Full-time Posted 1 day ago

Who are we? At Finastra, we’re a global leader in financial services software, dedicated to expanding access to financial services and shaping what’s next for the industry. Our technology powers mission‑critical solutions across Lending, Payments and Universal Banking, supporting over 7,000 customers, including 80% of the world’s top 50 banks, in more than 110 countries. We’re looking for a Tax Manager to join our Group Tax Reporting team.

Reporting to the Director of Group Tax Reporting, you’ll take ownership of hands-on tax provisioning, reporting and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions. This is a technical, delivery-focused role. Although the position carries a manager title, you’ll be directly involved in preparing and reconciling tax provisions, supporting the consolidation process and responding to audit requirements.

You won’t simply coordinate work or oversee its completion. You’ll personally deliver key elements of the tax reporting cycle. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your international tax experience while working within a collaborative global tax function. What You’ll Do Prepare group and statutory tax provisions for financial statement reporting and audits.

Perform the underlying calculations and reconciliations required to support accurate tax provisions. Support the consolidation of tax information from multiple jurisdictions into the group reporting process. Prepare supporting schedules, analysis and documentation for internal and external audit requirements. Investigate and resolve differences identified through tax provision reconciliations.

Act as a key contact for direct tax matters across assigned jurisdictions. Coordinate with local finance teams and outsourced service providers to support tax compliance obligations. Work with external advisers and tax authorities to support tax audits and manage tax risks. Assess the accounting impact of relevant tax and regulatory changes. Maintain and improve tax reporting processes, controls and supporting documentation.

Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise or automate tax processes. Collaborate with colleagues across Tax, Finance, Legal, Operations and IT. Manage competing deliverables across jurisdictions while maintaining clear communication around progress, risks and deadlines. What We’re Looking For A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, CPA or an equivalent accounting or tax qualification.

Practical experience preparing tax provisions rather than only reviewing or overseeing work completed by others. Experience working with tax reconciliations and supporting tax reporting cycles. Knowledge of IAS 12 and/or ASC 740 tax accounting principles. Experience supporting financial statement audits and responding to audit queries. Understanding of direct tax compliance and its interaction with tax accounting and financial reporting.

Experience working within a multinational organisation, professional services firm or similarly complex international environment. Strong analytical skills and confidence working with detailed financial and tax data. Experience using Excel and familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or comparable systems. Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across functions and jurisdictions.

A proactive approach to managing priorities, resolving issues and meeting reporting deadlines. What Will Help You Succeed You’ll enjoy working with the detail and taking personal ownership of technical deliverables. You’ll be comfortable preparing calculations, completing reconciliations, investigating differences and ensuring that your work is accurate and appropriately supported.

You’ll also know when to ask questions, obtain information from others and communicate early when a deadline, dependency or risk requires attention. This role will suit someone who wants to remain close to the technical work while continuing to develop their experience within a global tax environment. Why Join Us?

You’ll gain broad exposure to group tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions and work closely with colleagues throughout a global organisation. The role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in tax provisioning, reporting, compliance, controls and process improvement while making a visible contribution to the Group Tax function. We welcome applications from candidates with relevant transferable experience.
