Video Editor (Facebook)
The Role
KOMI Group already has the audience. Now we want to build the shows they cannot stop watching.
We reach more than 150 million people worldwide. Across more than 80 owned social brands, we have a combined following of over 50 million, and our content generates between 4 and 5 billion views every month. Our original scripted content already attracts millions of views, but we see that as only the beginning.
As a Video Editor, you must be a strong storyteller, who is full of creative ideas and can be part of a fast paced team. As a social editor for our Facebook pages, you are responsible for delivering and getting involved in every part of video creation including script writing, ingesting, syncing, editing footage, adding graphics and adding audio to gain feedback from the Lead Editors, and making amendments until the project is complete.
Key Responsibilities
- You will produce creative video edits and place videos into a schedule.
- You will manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is desirable to the audience and are required to have an awareness of industry trends.
- You will report to your line manager weekly on video performance, with an analysis.
- You will ensure our videos resonate with our audience and drive high engagement.
- You will work to targets set by a line manager to increase productivity and output.
- You will pitch several ideas a week to be made into stories and videos for our audiences.
What We're Looking For
- You have prior experience in video editing (including experience in Premiere Pro).
- You have a background in editing for social media platforms.
- You will need to have a good understanding of narrative driven content, a strong feel for drama storytelling across formats, and understand how drama content is produced on social media platforms.
- You have a passion for editing and an understanding of short-form content and engagement strategies.
- You are a quick learner, who is naturally proactive, and can work to deadlines.
