Job Overview
AESN Care is seeking an organised and motivated Assistant Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operation of care services. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality care delivery, staff management, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in managing daily operations.
- Supervise and support care staff.
- Ensure care plans are implemented and regularly reviewed.
- Monitor service quality and compliance with CQC regulations.
- Conduct staff supervision, appraisals, and performance reviews.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training.
- Manage staffing rotas and cover shifts when required.
- Handle incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate operational and care documentation.
- Participate in the on-call rota when required.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or Level 5 in Health & Social Care (preferred).
- Experience in a supervisory or management role within health or social care.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of care regulations and safeguarding.
- Ability to manage teams and solve problems effectively.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
