Job Outline:

The prime responsibility of the Business Development Manager (BDM) is to drive Future’s success within Automotive & Transportation or Aerospace &Defence . The role requires a deep understanding of the different technologies within these sectors, acting as a subject matter expert in this space to accelerate growth.

To be commercially astute with strong negotiation skills, developing and executing on a business plan for specific technologies, suppliers and customers, including sales growth programs through demand creation is fundamental.

The ability to understand the various supplier product offerings and how to position this both technically and commercially to accelerate the adoption of the newest and best technology available to the customer base through Future will be fundamental.


What the role involves:

  • Driving business development activities for Automotive & Transportation OR Aerospace & Defense customers, aligned with Future Electronics’ strategic market focus
  • Identifying, qualifying, and developing new business opportunities and customer projects in close collaboration with regional sales and technical teams
  • Actively expanding strategic target accounts, ensuring structured account penetration and sustainable revenue growth
  • Acting as a market and application expert in your region, providing insight into technology trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics


Do you have?

  • Several years of experience in Business Development or Sales within the electronics distribution or the dedicated environment
  • A solid understanding of and proven success in the Automotive & Transportation / Aerospace & Defense market, including OEMs, Tier‑1 / Tier‑2 suppliers, and technology trends
  • Proven success in developing new business, managing complex sales cycles, and driving design‑win activity
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently at multiple organizational levels
  • Willingness to travel frequently
