Finance Business Partner
Application Deadline: 30 October 2026
Department: Senior Management and Leadership
Location: Remote
Compensation: £55,000 / year
Description
We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team, supporting our Adult Care and Restore divisions. This is a fully remote role, so you can be based anywhere in the UK.
Working closely with the Head of Commercial Finance and senior leaders, you’ll provide financial insight and commercial guidance to drive performance and support informed decision-making.
Building strong relationships will be key to your success. You’ll partner with operational teams and work with local authorities and other stakeholders to understand business needs, influence decisions and identify opportunities to improve financial performance and ensure our services are appropriately funded.
What you'll be doing
You’ll partner with senior leaders across Adult Care and Restore, providing financial insight and commercial support to drive performance, inform decisions and ensure services are financially sustainable.
Key responsibilities include
- Leading month-end reviews, analysing performance, risks and opportunities.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Tracking KPIs, activity, pricing and return on investment.
- Providing commercial input into tenders, contract renewals and new business opportunities.
- Analysing funding arrangements and fee rates to identify opportunities to improve income.
- Supporting commissioner negotiations around fee increases, inflationary uplifts and additional care costs.
- Monitoring funding and policy changes to assess their financial impact.
- Building financial capability across the divisions through effective business partnering and guidance.
You’ll also provide occasional cover for the Head of Commercial Finance, including attending divisional and regional business review meetings.
What you'll bring to the role
You’ll be a commercially minded finance professional with strong management accounting skills and the ability to turn financial data into clear insights and practical recommendations. You’ll be confident partnering with senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions and supporting sound commercial decisions.
You’ll also have
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent). Candidates qualified by experience (QBE) may also be considered.
- Experience as a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or in a similar commercial finance role, ideally within Adult Social Care or Healthcare.
- Strong management accounting skills, including month-end reporting, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel skills. Experience with SAP BI and TM1 Planning Analytics would be beneficial.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly and build effective relationships with senior leaders and operational teams.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and sound judgement when handling commercially sensitive information.
Experience working with external stakeholders, particularly commissioners, Adult Social Care or the NHS, would be advantageous.
