Are you a commercially focused finance professional looking to make a real impact? We're looking for a Financial Analyst to support our Business Development team by producing cost models, analysing opportunities, and helping to secure new business.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you'll play a key role in developing financial solutions across warehousing, transport, and value-added services. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing insight, assessing risks, and presenting commercial proposals to both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build detailed cost models and P&L forecasts for new business opportunities.
- Develop pricing and commercial proposals, including open-book, tariff, and hybrid models.
- Analyse the financial impact of new business and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate risks and carry out scenario modelling to support decision-making.
- Produce bid documentation, presentations, and supporting financial analysis.
- Present financial proposals at internal bid reviews and customer meetings.
- Support the reporting and costing of newly won and existing business.
- Complete investment appraisals, including NPV, IRR, and ROCE calculations.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and commercial finance initiatives.
About You
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a financial analysis, commercial finance, or business partnering role.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Able to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable building relationships across all levels of the business and with customers.
- Proactive, inquisitive, and keen to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
