Margin and Specification Coordinator

Licensed sponsor Nottingham Full-time Posted 1 hour ago

About The Job

Games Workshop has an opening for a Margin and Specification Coordinator to join the Warhammer Design Studio, working with the Age of Sigmar team to help us make strong commercial decisions about the products we create for hobbyists worldwide.

You will be highly organised, comfortable working with numbers and curious about what makes a successful Warhammer product. Working alongside our Product Developers, you will help them understand product costs, to achieve stretching targets and explore how different choices affect margin and profitability. You will turn data into useful insight, spotting risks and opportunities early enough for the team to do something about them.

You will work closely with Buying and Merchandising to understand how costs are changing and how our products are performing. You will maintain the Studio’s plans, monitor freelance and departmental spend, and provide clear, accurate reporting to the Studio Management team. You will also help maintain the product specifications that underpin our costing, making sure changes are captured and their commercial impact understood.

You will enjoy getting into the details, asking good questions and making complicated information easy for other people to understand. You will be confident working independently, following issues through to resolution and speaking up when the numbers tell us something important. Working with teams across the business, you will also help ensure our approach to costing, margin and product performance is robust, consistent and continually improving.

Most importantly, you will be excited by the opportunity to work at the heart of the Age of Sigmar team. This is a rare chance to work alongside the designers, writers, artists, and product developers who create Warhammer, and to see firsthand how an idea becomes a product enjoyed by people worldwide.

If you love Warhammer, enjoy turning numbers into insight, and want the opportunity to play a meaningful part in creating the future of Age of Sigmar, we’d love to hear from you.

Working at Games Workshop

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
