Make a difference every day with PDSA

About Us

Join us to help keep even more people and pets together when times are tough. For over a century, PDSA has provided vital veterinary care for the pets of people experiencing financial hardship. Today, we're on an exciting journey to expand our reach and impact, ensuring we can support even more people and their beloved pets for generations to come.

To achieve this ambition, we're investing in our people experience and culture. That's where this role comes in.

About the Role

As our People Experience Business Partner, you'll be responsible for designing, delivering and continuously improving initiatives that enhance the colleague experience across the employee lifecycle.

Working closely with senior leaders, managers and colleagues across the organisation, you'll help bring our People Strategy to life through a focus on engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, listening and culture.

You'll lead programmes that strengthen colleague engagement and belonging while ensuring our people practices reflect both organisational priorities and colleague needs. Through meaningful insight, robust data and colleague feedback, you'll identify opportunities for improvement and help shape solutions that have a lasting impact.

Partnering closely with leaders across the organisation, you'll lead our colleague listening, engagement, wellbeing and inclusion agenda. You'll ensure colleague feedback is translated into meaningful action, supporting and challenging leaders to drive improvements and communicate progress and impact back to colleagues. Through a combination of insight, engagement data and employee feedback, you'll help create an environment where colleagues feel valued, heard and empowered to do their best work.

This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong stakeholder management, excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels. You'll act as a trusted advisor, bringing together data, insight and best practice to support meaningful and sustainable change across the organisation.

About You

We're looking for an experienced people professional who is passionate about creating great colleague experiences and understands the impact that engagement, wellbeing and inclusion have on organisational performance.

You'll bring experience of developing and delivering colleague engagement initiatives, managing employee listening programmes and translating insight into practical action plans that deliver measurable outcomes. You'll be confident working with data, influencing stakeholders at all levels and building strong, collaborative relationships across a complex organisation.

You will also have

  • Experience designing and delivering employee engagement, satisfaction and retention initiatives.
  • Experience leading employee engagement surveys, including analysis, action planning and reporting.
  • Experience facilitating colleague forums, engagement events, listening groups and Q&A sessions.
  • Experience leading wellbeing and inclusion initiatives across an organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret people data and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence constructively.
  • A genuine passion for creating inclusive, engaging and positive workplace cultures.

Experience or qualifications relating to employee engagement, organisational development or inclusion would be advantageous.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to influence the experience of thousands of colleagues across a nationally recognised charity at a time of transformation and growth. You'll have the autonomy to shape initiatives, drive meaningful change and help create an environment where people can thrive and do their best work every day.
