Employment & HR Advisor
What you’ll do
We are looking for an Employment & HR Advisor to join our Employment & HR team in Bristol on a permanent basis.
Our Employment & HR team provides practical, commercially focused HR support and employment advice to a diverse range of organisations. Acting as an extension of our clients' businesses, we help them navigate people challenges, manage risk and achieve their objectives through expert HR guidance.
As an Employment & HR Advisor, you'll be one of the first points of contact on our HR helpline. This is a busy, client-facing role where you'll spend much of your day speaking directly with managers and business leaders, providing practical support across a wide range of employee relations matters. You'll be comfortable handling incoming calls, quickly understanding the issues at hand and delivering clear, commercially focused advice and recommendations.
You'll build trusted relationships with clients, gaining an understanding of their organisations, priorities and ways of working. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you'll be exposed to a broad range of people matters, helping to deliver a consistent, high-quality service while becoming a valued source of support and guidance.

We welcome applications from both full-time and part-time candidates and are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements. The role includes some weekend and bank holiday cover, which is shared across the team.
Who you are
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people. You'll be personable, approachable and naturally client-focused, taking pride in delivering an excellent client experience. As a key member of our HR helpline, you'll be comfortable spending a significant amount of time on the phone, asking the right questions and providing practical, solutions-focused advice.
You'll be confident handling sensitive and sometimes challenging conversations with professionalism, empathy and sound judgement. Whether responding to a straightforward query or supporting a more complex employee relations matter, you'll enjoy getting to the root of an issue and helping others reach a positive outcome.
You’ll have experience in an HR administration or similar HR-focused role and hold, or are currently working towards, a CIPD qualification and looking to take the next step in their career. Experience in customer service is valuable, particularly if you've developed strong communication skills and are used to managing a high volume of calls and enquiries.
Above all, we're looking for someone who is curious, resilient and proactive, with a positive attitude and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy advisory environment and is excited by the opportunity to develop their HR career within a supportive and successful team.
