About the Function

The Productivity function plays a critical role in enabling Diageo’s transformation agenda. Through strategic programmes and business change initiatives, the team drives operational excellence, productivity improvements and sustainable business performance.

About the Team

You will join a team responsible for delivering complex business transformation programmes and change initiatives across Diageo. Working across multiple functions and stakeholder groups, the team helps shape and deliver strategic priorities that improve the way we operate and support future growth.

About the Role

This role will lead the delivery of high-complexity business change projects with multiple workstreams or deployments, delivering significant transformation across Diageo.

The Project Manager is expected to play a broad and impactful role in delivering the relevant Productivity agenda. The role holder will move between strategy and operational detail, setting priorities for diverse project teams to ensure alignment, focus and brilliant execution.

Operating within a highly complex environment, you will develop project approaches from a broad business perspective and create clarity where ambiguity exists. You will proactively anticipate impacts, risks and dependencies, helping stakeholders navigate change and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong ITIL and IT Service Management expertise, alongside proven experience delivering business transformation and change initiatives within multinational organisations.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex business change and transformation projects across multiple workstreams or deployments.
• Develop project approaches and delivery plans from a broad business perspective, often operating in highly ambiguous environments.
• Create clarity for business stakeholders on what needs to be delivered, how it will be delivered and the expected outcomes.
• Set priorities across diverse project teams to ensure focus, alignment and successful execution.
• Anticipate and manage impacts, risks and dependencies across current and future phases of project delivery.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact project outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across functions and levels of the organisation.
• Lead project governance, communications and reporting activities.
• Drive productivity and transformation outcomes in line with business objectives.
• Support the continuous improvement of project delivery, operational processes and ways of working.

Experience / Skills Required

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Approximately 8-10 years’ experience in project management, business transformation or change delivery roles.
• Proven Project Manager experience within a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated experience delivering strategic and change projects within the functional area of the portfolio you lead.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of ITIL principles, processes and best practices.
• Experience working within IT Service Management and operational environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational leadership capability.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in complex environments and translate ambiguity into actionable plans.
• Fluent Business English.

Preferred Experience

• ITIL certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leading operational improvement, service improvement or productivity programmes.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and cross-functional stakeholders in large-scale organisations.
