Nursing Support Worker
Job summary
We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated individual to the role of Nursing Support Worker on the Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC). Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) enables adult patients with common medical conditions to be assessed, diagnosed and treated on the same day. This should enable the patient to then 'sleep at home in their own bed' and avoid unnecessary hospital admission.
Patients are referred to SDEC via their GP, Paramedics (Welsh Ambulance Service), Accident and Emergency (A&E), or via another route such as an outpatient clinic or community specialist team. We pride ourselves on having a friendly and welcoming team, where you never feel alone and you get the support that you need. This is a full-time post however part time will be considered. The post covers 7 days a week.
There will be an expectation for rotational working across our acute medical team in the Adult Clinical Decisions Unit (ACDU).
