Senior Project Manager – Healthcare Projects

London | Central London Community Healthcare

Are you a Senior Project Manager who enjoys taking a project from the initial idea right through to delivery, rather than simply being handed a finished brief?

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join Mitie, working as a dedicated projects lead across our Central London Community Healthcare account.

Supporting sites across London, you'll work across a varied community healthcare estate, from outpatient clinics through to larger facilities with inpatient wards.

What makes this role different?

There's a real opportunity here to shape the project pipeline, not just deliver it.

You'll build close relationships with the Trust, understand their estate and proactively identify where investment and improvements are needed. That could mean taking an initial client idea and developing the solution, identifying lifecycle requirements or uncovering opportunities across the wider estate.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading multiple lifecycle, capital and refurbishment projects from concept through to completion.
  • Building strong relationships with Trust Estates & Facilities teams, divisional leads and building users.
  • Proactively identifying new projects and developing solutions with the client.
  • Working closely with Mitie's Hard FM team across the account.
  • Procuring and managing specialist designers, consultants and contractors.
  • Taking ownership of project health & safety and working effectively with CDM duty holders.
  • Ensuring projects meet governance, commercial and contractual requirements.
  • Managing change throughout the project lifecycle.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who combines strong project delivery experience with excellent client-facing skills and a proactive mindset.

You'll ideally bring

  • Strong experience delivering projects within complex Hard FM, building services, construction or estate environments.
  • Experience managing multiple capital, lifecycle or refurbishment projects.
  • Good knowledge of CDM, including pre-construction and construction phases.
  • Experience working as, or closely with, a Principal Contractor.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to identify opportunities and turn ideas into deliverable projects.
  • Ideally, a construction, surveying or engineering-related qualification.
  • Professional membership such as RICS, CIOB, RIBA, CIBSE, MIET or APM would be advantageous.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH or a similar health & safety qualification would also be beneficial.

Healthcare experience is advantageous, but it isn't essential. We're equally interested in strong Project Managers from other complex Hard FM or built-environment backgrounds who can demonstrate the right technical understanding, stakeholder skills and drive.
